What made our holiday different this year (and how you can use it too)
This week I’m still carrying that relaxed, warm post-camping glow, and I wanted to share something special with you.
As you might’ve seen, we’ve just come back from what turned out to be our most connected, fun, conflict free family holiday yet.
And no — it wasn’t because the kids were easier, or the campsite was magical (although the baguettes were excellent!).
It was because we were different.
This was the first time in years that I returned from holiday genuinely restored — not just physically, but emotionally too.
And when I sat with why, five things stood out...
And I wonder if these could be used by you for your holidays, and for other times of the year too....
💡 So this week in the membership, we’re focusing on:
“How to Make Your Family Holiday Work — Nervous System, Connection, Managing Conflict and All.”
You’ll find:
-
A downloadable handout đź“„ Making Your Family Holiday Work
-
(available to DOWNLOAD in Membership App Feed) you can refer to anytime you're planning a trip or just surviving summer
-
The 5 things we did differently this year that made all the difference
-
The co-regulation piece: how to stay calm and connected as a couple or solo parent, even when routines are disrupted
-
Ways to involve your children in small decisions (without letting them run the show!)
-
How to gently manage your expectations so the whole system settles
🟢 And join me LIVE Thursday at 12:30 Noon in the Membership
We'll be unpacking how to bring these principles into the rest of the summer — especially in those long days where emotions are frayed and you’re craving breathing room.
As always, come as you are — messy, sunburned, or just tired. You don’t need to have it all together.
We're here to steady the system ... together.
