And no, you don't need a diagnosis. We are an inclusive clinic - welcoming all.

Because we KNOW that when our children percieve or experience the world differently... many of the "normal" parenting approaches don't work...

When our children think, feel or experience things differently, then they will probably appreciate a different parenting approach too :)

Learn what works - we are enrolling NOW for our 5 hour Neurodiversity Essentials Programme (run online).

This is a 5 hour programme run over 2 afternoons - 2.30pm to 5pm.

What do parents say about the Neurodiversity Essentials Programme?

â€śIt was great to hear the experiences of other parents. It was a pleasure to hear [tutors’s name] and to get an insight into their autism” (Rachel, 2023)

The main concern of several parents was how best to help and support their child having received a diagnosis, with several parents expressing worry for the future. After attending the programme, parents noted that they felt better equipped to help their children, provide support, implement tips and strategies, and advocate on their behalf, all of which contributed to a greater understanding of their child’s autistic presentation. They explained that they learned:

“How best to communicate with them and to help them as they need” (Peter, 2023)

“Other peoples’ experience and tips” (John, 2022)

“…learned how to try change things…definitely going to do a visual board for her” (Anne, 2023)

â€śStrategies on what to do/ trial and helpful practical tips” (Simon, 2023)

â€śIt was well laid out and covered a good range of topics to a useful depth. We couldn’t be more happy” (Alyssa, 2024)

â€śGot so many useful ideas that I can bring into our home” (Beatrice, 2023)

“Hugely informative, encouraging, positive and reassuring. Gave practical information” (Alyssa, 2024)

Learn about autism, ADHD, dyslexic or dyspraxic body-brain balance to cultivate calm and confidence.

Passionate interests and different ways of communicating
Something I wanted to gently highlight this week is how often certain aspects of neurodivergence are misunderstood, particularly when it comes to communication and what are sometimes called “special interests.”   Many children, particularly autistic children, can have strong, passionate interests in particular topics. Sometimes these are seen as narrow or repetitive, but when you look m...
What do we actually mean by neurodiversity?
I wanted to introduce a word this week that can sometimes feel a little uncomfortable, and that is the idea of ableism.   And I want to approach it gently, because this isn’t about blame or getting things wrong. Ableism, at its core, is simply the set of assumptions we tend to carry about what is “typical” or “acceptable” when it comes to how people think, behave, learn, or communicate....
What do we actually mean by neurodiversity?
I’ve been thinking recently about how often the word neurodiversity comes up in conversation now, and how, while it’s becoming more familiar, I’m not always sure we’ve had the chance to slow down and really sit with what it means. So for the next few weeks, we will have Siobhan Campion, an autistic adhd advocate, and psychologist with EPT Clinic delivering key masterclasses and workshops...
