It starts with understanding ♾️
We provide comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments and ongoing support for children and adolescents who may be autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, experience emotional regulation difficulties, or learn and experience the world differently.
Through our multidisciplinary team, we help families gain clarity, access appropriate supports, understand their child's unique profile, and move forward with confidence at home and in school.
We get it ...
Parenting a sensitive, deeply feeling or neurodivergent child can feel overwhelming... but it doesn't have to feel this way.
Parents often tell us they have known for a long time that something wasn't quite fitting together for their child. Does this sound like you?
Maybe you've spoken your child's teachers, or you've tried different approaches. You've done your best to advocate for your child but you still have questions, and don't feel like you have the full picture. You want to know:
- Why is my child finding school so hard?
- Why do everyday situations seem so overwhelming?
- Why are there so many emotional ups and downs?
- What am I missing?
You aren't necessarily looking for a label, but you want to understand your child better.
You want to understand how your child experiences the world, what supports your child needs, and how you can help them to thrive both at home and in school.
You want an assessment to clarify - could it be autism? ADHD? Learning or Dyslexia? Is it sensory?
BUT you want more than just an assessment. You ALSO want a follow up plan and practical supports, guidance and a clear way forward.
That's exactly what this pathway is designed to provide.
Assessment → Clarity → Support → Progress

HEY, I'M LORRAINE!
👋 Clinical Director of EPT Clinic. I'm a Principal, Chartered Child and Educational Psychologist C.Psychol., Ps.S.I. M6672C. I am so happy to meet you. I am a mom of 2 kids, living in a neurodiverse family. I have spent my adult life working alongside, supporting and advocating for children, teenagers and parents - first as a primary school teacher, and now, as a psychologist, public speaker, researcher and trainer. I created this pathway because too many families receive answers but are left without enough support for what comes next - I see this every day in EPT Clinic.
One of my core beliefs, and something which we embody as a team in EPT Clinic is knowing that understanding a child's brain-body combination can truly transform a child's life, which in turn, can transform the life of an entire family.
When we know better... we do better.
Our clinical team use our understanding of children's psychological, emotional and sensory development, and our passion for enabling children to reach their full potential, to empower families to live authentically and positively. And... we work together as an awesome team of psychologists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, psychotherapists, play therapists and teachers.
We created this pathway because I know how overwhelming it can feel when you're searching for answers for your child. Families often tell us they have spent months, and sometimes years, trying to make sense of what they are seeing. They want to understand their child's needs, support them at home, advocate effectively at school and feel confident about the future.
Assessment is often an important starting point, but families also need practical support and ongoing guidance. That's why we created a pathway that combines comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessment, emotional regulation support and therapeutic parenting guidance in one place.
My hope is simple: that every family leaves feeling more informed, more confident and better equipped to support their child moving forward.
Our Approach
We prioritise understanding a young person's brain - body combination using a neurodiversity-affirmative framework. The term neurodiversity describes the natural variation of brain-body preferences and needs that exist amongst all humans. It includes people who are neurotypical (about 80% of the population) and those who are neurodivergent (about 20% of the population). Neurodivergent young people includes those who are autistic, ADHDers, PDAers, dyslexic, dyspraxic, and more... or those who are deeply sensitive, experiencing the world differently to their peers.
Our neurodiverse team, who include neurodivergent and neurotypical clinicians, is here to help, especially if you have tried mainstream approaches, and they just haven't worked
