The Real advice from the authentic autistic advocate Daniel was amazing. The Psychologist Loraine madden was lovely to talk to she was a mine of information and advice to help ease our worries and the other parents were all very real and honest with their feelings, which helped us all to be real and honest . I learned a lot about autism.

Talking with & listening to others with similar experiences

The different view points from everyone and especially the 2 other autistic individuals who were helping out.

Generalised positivity about autism, that it is not a disorder. I knew about this concept but feels more real now. Got so many useful ideas that I can bring into our home.

I enjoyed connecting with other parents and hearing concerns I may not have considered but were there. I can see the hope and I am more empowered to be a better advocate and support my children.

Very practical and implementable recommendations about how to support our child in school and at home. The insights of the facilitators on their own autistic experience. The workbook approach was very helpful to both allow us to prepare in advance of the sessions but also to capture our takeaways from them.

Daniel's insights were so useful and while I know that all autistic people experience it differently it was so valuable to get his opinion. Also making me think about how I was feeling, discussing informally it with others going through similar stuff not only lightened the load but also gave me lots of tips. Lorraine was also so full of knowledge and put it across so well. Lastly, getting the validation that some of what I already have in place is probably doing some good.

Child's needs: Busy body, high movement needs, high sensory needs, loves familiarity, demonstrates some stimming behaviours such as making noises and busyness. Could you tell us how it helped you please? Giving us the knowledge and confidence to help our son. Rating: 5 STAR

Excellent. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Would highly rate and would definitely recommend any child suffering from anxiety to go there.
